Learn Living Together

Everybody's welcome to share our hospitality at morning coffee/tea following Sunday Services plus join our occasional community breakfasts or lunches. A Cry room is available for young families during our Worship Services on Sundays or the Hall to send children from ages 3-12 to Sunday School, all down stairs with wheelchair access as well.

Here there are many exciting and fun ways to learn about our Lord plus Christian activities to pass the time all while devoting time to corporate the worship of our awesome Father God in heaven.

Youth Group meets once a fortnight as do some Growth, Home or Small Groups to study God's Word together or to learn a new way for discipleship development, using The WAY together all in one anothers homes to share great hospitality

also for "Developing deeply-committed and passionate Christ-followers" thewaydiscipleship.com.

The WAY is a new facilitator to explain the role of a disciple of Jesus, using great discussion guides, designed especially for our members, using modern platforms and technology with a facilitator to facilitate the facilitator, The WAY on-site.

To help us focus on our Lord Jesus there is a great little library of Christian fiction on the premises as well as non-fiction books, cds/dvds, personal and small group study guides, materials to enlighten our minds by the word of God. Some other discipleship materials available are; walkthru.org.au Memory Cards to learn the Story of the Bible; an information/missions table plus a monthly newsletter to take home including rosters to keep us up-to-date with our community services one of which is Mission Without Limits; ladies gathering once a month to "Knit & Natter" items to donate to others in need.

Anyone is welcome to join in other activities or services on offer to our local community as well. Like regular Meals-On-Wheels and singing "Hymns Alive" which happens monthly around town, meeting with different local churches. "Like the atmosphere that surrounds the earth supports the life of man, the benevolence of God surrounds all His creatures."

C.H. Spurgeon

We hold an annual family camp together, where we spend time with one another as the family of God, enjoying leisure time as well as listening to a guest speaker. The Bible says our inheritance is in heaven and has sound financial advice, so we can encourage others with God's words from Matthew's gospel for example, in order to assist with bible study plus good ideas for saving your money using tried and true biblical principles anytime upon request.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6

Please don’t hesitate to contact us to tell us your needs, we can assist with most things that are humanly possible and within reason, we endeavour to bring everything before the throne of God who is our help at all times whatever the circumstances.

Jesus loves his church and all people created in God's image. Blessings

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." Romans 10:17

Another favourite is the book of Ecclesiastes in 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in it's time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." With eternity in our hearts, Christian Reformed Church members here spread the message of hope in Jesus and his compassion to everyone we know, by faith. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the lives of everybody in the community and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our church members work tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good. We look to Jesus in all things, who is the author and perfecter of our faith.

Make a Difference Today

As Christian Reformed Churches of Australia crca.org.au members, everyone's well-being is at the forefront of what we’re working together towards. Our activities, Christian education programs at church, rtc.edu.au, school are designed to be a catalyst that helps build the faith in Jesus of family members, encouraging everyone to grow together by sharing his love, seeing Jesus in each other by fulfilling our biblical mandate, in Christ. Learn more about the wonderful influence Christ has in our lives through his preached Word and join us to see his lasting changes for yourself in devotion to our everlasting, knowable, unchangable God in heaven of Scripture e.g. by Daily Bible readings like this:

'From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.' 2 Corinthians 5:16-21

Reflection:

We have been transformed, if we are in Christ, into new creations. But perhaps it would be more accurate to say that we are being transformed into new creations. The power of God is bringing about something new in our lives as people who have been reconciled with God, through the death and resurrection of Jesus. There is hope for us as individuals that God will renew us, just as he is in the process of renewing the whole of creation.

Question:

How can we remain open to God’s transforming work in our lives?

What role might engaging with God’s word have in our transformation?

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, we seek to be reconciled to you, trusting in Jesus’ death and resurrection. Transform us and renew us through your Spirit. Give us an openness to being trained and corrected by your word, seeking your will for our lives in Jesus name. Amen.
